# Expert Advice:

01 -
  • Tropical Flavor: The addition of guava marmalade adds a sweet, fruity depth that perfectly complements the rich coconut base.
  • Simple Preparation: This recipe requires no cooking; simply blend the ingredients together for a quick holiday treat.
  • Customizable Strength: You can easily adjust the amount of rum or omit it entirely for a family-friendly version.
02 -
  • Chill Thoroughly: Coquito is best served very cold, so allow it plenty of time in the refrigerator to develop its full flavor profile.
  • Smooth Consistency: If your guava paste is very firm, blend it with the evaporated milk first to ensure there are no lumps in the final drink.
  • Shake Well: Because of the natural fats in coconut milk, shaking the bottle vigorously before serving is essential for a creamy texture.
