# Expert Advice:

01 -
  • They come together in under twenty-two minutes, making them perfect for unexpected guests or last-minute hunger pangs.
  • Kids actually want to eat them, and they're easy enough for little hands to help assemble.
  • You can prep them ahead and bake straight from the freezer without any fuss.
02 -
  • Don't oversaturate with sauce or your bagel halves get soggy instead of crispy.
  • Spreading sauce toward the edges prevents it from pooling in the center and sliding off.
  • Watch the oven during the last few minutes because going from perfect to overdone happens faster than you'd expect.
03 -
  • Use parchment paper instead of greasing the pan so everything slides off cleanly and your bagels stay crisp on the bottom.
  • Don't skip letting them cool for a couple minutes because the cheese is molten and will slide right off a hot bagel, but waiting lets it set just enough to hold together.
